10 days to go but whos counting..... :chuckle:
-
Good luck up there! Shane talked me I to applying for this hunt this year but neither of us drew. Excited to see how you do!
-
Should be fun, always exciting to try new areas, especially when there's only 15 other tags...
-
Knew a couple guys that did quite well on their permits in there last year. Goood luck
-
Went elk hunting up there last weekend and saw some monster mulies chasing does. We were by the Chiliwist butte area. We drove up the Chiliwist road just south of malott. There is an access road up to Chiliwist butte. About 1/2 way up is awesome deer country. Tons of them running at daylight.
-
Thanks for the info daradke.... how was elk hunting?
-
Only a few tracks here and there. Never saw one.
-
they like the private property

Click on map search. This is the Okanogan county assessors website. Zoom in and click on a parcel of land and it tells you if public or private. I like to open this page and compare to Google Earth.

You did that tag justice!

Did.. ;)

Okay if there is not a thread with pictures in 48 hours, I'm going to lose it.
Doing a Chiliwist tag justice isn't like doing a Palouse tag justice.
We want pictures!
-
It may be longer than 48 :chuckle:
-
:yike: alright 72 hours then.
But even so, it's friggin cold outside and my next season isn't open for a week! :chuckle:

Im back, had a good hunt. Had some great help from some awesome guys on here, you all know who you are. Really not much of a story. I had been hunting a good buck with my 16 year old son Kasey and was driving to a different location to check on another buck when mine came across the road in front of me...he went one way and his doe the other, he made the fatal mistake of stopping to look for them. ooops!
-
Not the biggest we saw, but Im happy with him. 42 yard shot he went 30. 70# Martin Alien, ACC arrows, Trophy Taker rest, shuttle T broadheads and CBE sight.
-
That will do just fine. Nice! I've been watching. Glad you had a successful hunt. These weather conditions have just been weird.
-
Thanks Bone, it definitely was weird to say the least. Felt kinda bad that my sons were just along for ride, so wasn't as picky as normal. Ended up the last 3 days up north hunting with them. Had some close calls but couldn't get them a shot.
-
Measured his backs tines 16 1/2" & 16 5/8"...and he's 24 1/4" wide
-
Good job way to score on a fine buck!!
