My dad cant hunt much any more hes a little out of shape and 63 so i was wondering if anyone knows if i can hunt for him if he is not present I also have a tag but he wants some venison too? I have heard of people doing this but is it leagal.

did you read the regs? i believe they call it party hunting, and no, it's not legal.
-
even if he is disabled?
-
don't know...don't take this wrong, but read the reg's.
they are online at the wdfw website.
-
just don't see it in the regs any of u know the page?
i might just call to make sure if is or is not leagal
-
I would call F&G and ask them.
-
If he has all the disabled paperwork, and you have the companion card, you can shoot for him. That's how I understand it, but again call in or read over the paperwork to be sure. Don't take my word for it. There are some limitations.

WDFW issues a Disabled Hunter
Permit to persons with permanent
disabilities under certain conditions.
For a complete understanding, read
WAC 232-12-828.
From page 68 in the 2008 regs.

there are limitations to the disabled hunter card. not every disabled person will qualify, my grandfather did and nI was lucky enough to shoot 13 deer for him before he passed
-
I think they still have to be present in the area while you are hunting though. I don't think you can go just on your own and shoot his animal. :twocents:
-
thats correct they have to be with you on the hunt
