So bear season did me no justice.didn't see nothing not even a deer.tomorrow is the last day for late season.I live in Yelm.can someone please help me get mg first deer.I didn't tag out on bear,I don't want my deer tag to go to waste either.

They is deer everywhere in your neck of the woods. You need to use google earth and you need to start knocking on doors. Or get a ft lewis pass next year and hunt 15 minutes from Yelm around Rainier.
General deer is roughly 10% success so there is thousands of other guys not going to notch a tag tomorrow.

Embarrassing!!! Work hard and when you finally kill something it will feel much better. Was doing my best to avoid this post, but come on man.....have some self pride and stop begging for someone's help. I lived and hunted the area you are in for years while I was growing up and there are deer everywhere....spend time in the field and you will find them.

Still daylight left. I've heard two different sets of shots in the last two hours.

people frome west seattle hunt :dunno: ok :chuckle: to the op, it sounds like your pretty new to the huntn game, i wouldnt do much calling or rattling if i was in your shoes, the bald hills hold plenty of deer, find a couple old clearcuts, keep the wind in your face rain or shine and hunt the edge of those old cuts, it will happen, to be honest it doesnt sound like you have worked that hard at it, i say that because your just all over the board in your techniques that your trying, start small, you need to learn about deer and their habbits before you go using all these differant tactics, you are probably scaring them off, blacktail are the thorn of the deer family, they have brought many a man to their knees :chuckle:

I doubt the OP will be back. He hasn't signed on since Nov 17 when he was told to quit begging for help
