PREDATORS — Notice to the owner of the black cat missing on the South Hill: We may have solved the mystery..
Says Facebook friend Dan Barth, who posted this photo:
If you are missing your black cat… this friendly neighborhood bald eagle has relocated it….
Loose-running cats kill millions of song-birds each year.
Perhaps this is the big bird's symbolic way of trying to even the score.

Cat it's whats for dinner. :chuckle:

Lol the ultimate revenge
-
To bad for the pet owner, but glad the eagle is getting a good meal.

You’d be surprised how many Pheasants and quail wild cats eat also, especially right after the hatch. I do my part to help the birds out when the opportunity presents itself. Also, never pass up a chance to kill Skunks, they raise hell on the nesting birds and their Eggs.

Main reason I stopped shooting coyotes around the neighborhood.....they started killing the neighbor's cats. Seems like a good trade. Now I only really shoot forest yotes.

I've relocated many Feral Cats to an area where there are lots of coyotes. None have ever come back! I think someone is dumping cats in my area. One year I trapped 18-20 cats, and nobody said they lost their cat... :sry:

I LOVE CATS!

I have a T-shirt with the PETA saying on the front, (People Eating Tasty Animals) And on the back of the shirt it says "I like cats, I just can't eat a whole one by myself!"
A buddy gave me a button that I wear on my cap that says: I LOVE CATS (dead ones) :chuckle: :chuckle:

I remember the old tv series ALF and how he loved cats!

I am pretty sure I have been fed cat. When I get what they call chicken at the oriental restaurant and the bone doesn't look like any I've ever seen in a chicken it makes me wonder. Oh well if it tastes good pass me another please.

I hate them songbirds.
But you gotta kill something. #Eagleonecatzero

When one of the trees holding an eagle nest blew down two years ago they had found 9 cat collars in it. :chuckle:

I loved ALF! The guy I worked with had a cat, so he hated ALF. So I told him all the dead cat jokes I could find! :chuckle:

We had the cutest little black and white cat. She was only a couple of months old when I spotted her "hunting" in the pasture below us. I thought...."aw, what a cute picture the little thing is trying to hunt".
She leaps in the air and comes down on the back of a rooster pheasant. He starts flapping his wings and fairly quickly gets airborne. She's still on his back holding on at he takes off. He flew about 10-15 feet and got up to four or five feet in elevation before she fell off.
She lived to 16. Everybody that met her in the house commented on what a sweet and wonderful little cat she was.
She was one tough cat. Killed everything that moved. We never had a problem with mice, but the death toll went far beyond mice.

I like cats more than dogs (its the whole hunter thing) but....thats AWESOME! Feel bad for the owner but its part of the game.

:yeah:
Cats tend to believe that they are higher of the food chain than they really are :chuckle: Predator/prey. Good for the eagle
Our cats keep the mice population down and gives the dogs something to hump on. :o

I hate cats! Although a few good barn cats I don't mind. I get some bald eagles at my house this time of year, had one there yesterday. When I had some chickens I would try to turn one loose and had my camera on the ready but couldn't make it happen :(

Seen it firsthand also,my cousin has an eagles nest near their house, around the base of the tree is all kinds of bones and kitty/small dog collars,a couple weiner dogs bit the big one to the eagles.Nest is 100 feet from their house.Eagles are pretty bold, they built the nest a few years ago,and could care less about all the race cars/dirt bikes/utvs that go on there.
