Are you talking Puget Island by Cathlamet, WA?? It's all private if it's the same one. You can look at options between the high and low water marks on the Columbia River.

Yep..thats the one. I am talking about hunting on/ near shore.
-
Most of Puget Island is private land. Maybe some public land at the east end but not even sure on that.

Thought we would be talking Springer action? :chuckle:

There's no Springers down there. They all teleport to the PDX area :dunno:
-
Too many sea lions down there. Best to go upriver for them smelly fish.

I went broadie hunting with my old boss on Puget Island about 13 years ago. We just boated to the shore, tossed some dekes and started shooting. Is it not like that anymore?

It really depends which part of the island. If you tried that today on 75% the island you would be in someone's yard. The other 25%, I'm not sure who owns. :twocents:
There are a lot of geese there though. We have to scare them off the lawn during the summer :chuckle:

So,.another good hunting spot lost to civilization.

People living on Puget Island isn't something that just happened in the last few years... :dunno:
