Title: Idaho mule deer
Post by: highmuley on December 15, 2013, 05:15:57 AM
If I were planning an Idaho trophy (160+...hopefully non-typical) mule deer hunt,  what area and method (modern,  stick or muzzy) would you suggest? It would definitely be a DIY hunt. I would be limited on actual scouting but I'm good with maps. I also prefer forrest (panhandle?) Over open country.  Any advice and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Also,  rough estimates on cost would be appreciated. And if possible,  hunting elk at the same time would be awesome (I like full freezers).  Thanks in advance.

I have talked to a biologist from about some Elk hunting, we are looking at units 16 and 16A for this oct..... he said it has a good success rate, if I found out any other info I will be sure to pass it along

I can get you on 160+ deer and Elk.  Do you have anything to trade?

I am looking for a Montana or Idaho Sept. Archery Elk hunt.

Trade info.  I have been kicking it around.  I want to go on a Sept. archery hunt for Elk.  The hunt I talked about is a late Oct. rifle hunt.
