Title: Another weekend in the bag

Post by: T-Bone on December 23, 2013, 07:34:23 AM: One lone rooster for me on a short morning hunt Sunday. The Springer did a nice job of rooting him out of the snow covered, reed canary grass. My first shot rocked the bird and I believe I hit him hard with the second shot, but he continued to fly and lose altitude; only to drop stone dead well over 100 yards away. I felt very lucky and I love hunting in the snow.
