Has anyone used the Bass Pro brand Pursuit optics? They are pretty cheap so I'm a little unsure if it's worth the money. For another $60-$75 I could get a Nikon or Vortex. The scope will be going on a Ruger American Rifle .22 with target shooting and small game in mind. Thanks! :hello:

Just need to figure out who makes em for Bass Pro if someone will tell you. I had a couple of target plinkers(what I call em anyway) I wanted to get some scopes on.I was looking at the new Redfields due to Redfield being a quality name from the past. The local sportshop owner told me straight out,the Revenge models are equal to a nikon(assembled in the phillipines) and the Revolution models are equal to a VX2 leupold(Why wouldn't they be Luepold owns Redfield now, made at the same place in oregon and get the same glass as a VX2 for 100+ bucks less, with same guarantee).I've got a VX2 4x12AO on a .243 and a Revenge 4x12AO on a .270 and honestly can't really tell a level of difference in clarity between the 2.More than good enough for what I use em for,Safe queens that punch holes in paper a couple times a year.I'd have no trouble taking either hunting either.Call Bass Pro and see if they will tell you who manufactures it for them.Costco will do that,I know I called about the manufacturer/supplier of their Dog food, they told me it was made by Diamond feeds with costcos formulated recipe.Could very well be the same thing with optics at Cabelas/Bass Pro.

So they are made in China? :yike:
Look for something else then. Maybe a low priced Nikon.

China doesn't bother me as much as it does other. I love my Vortex bino's and have had great customer service from them.
Budget looking at $150ish

I've got a couple centerpoint 4x16 mildot from Walmart on couple 22 rifles I shoot rats with seem to be fine out to 160 yards. (Farthest I've shot them). About 80 bucks each. Got a Pentax 4x12 on the wife's Cheap off eBay. That one is a real clear and sharp scope

I could a rats rump where anything is made myself. I have 4-5 Penatx scopes on small caliber rifles up to 300WSM and have had zero problems. Look at www.binoculars.com (http://www.binoculars.com)
