Last year it was the tripod buck and Link's desert buck, but who has the champ this year? I'd love to see pics of the best bucks out there in all three species! I'm primarily thinking about deer taken in Washington, but we can throw in out-of-state bucks from members as well just make sure and note the state. Any mule deer or Whitetail over 200 should be posted whether it's the champion or not:-). For Blacktail anything over 160. Anyway, I just love seeing pics of some of the biggest and best each year!
-
Did anyone even kill a 200" buck this year?
-
I forgot to add in the OP that the type of tag, where, or how you got it is not required though you can share if you want. This thread is intended to honor the best animals, not start a debate on hunting style, prowess, etc.
-
Whats sad is people will not post some of their fine animas due to all the gaff they get from internet cops...
Hopefully some will pop up on here that I have seen...

You may want to lower your standards for bt a bit or your not gunna see any :chuckle:

I agree, and that's why I don't expect people to say what tag , how , or what unit. You can even post only a pic of the animal and say., "Hunter chooses to remain anonymous. 207 gross, WA."
-

Sorry, should have made that clearer. What I'm visualizing is buck pics appearing and gradually getting bigger. I just included those numbers so that people will keep posting huge bucks even if a bigger buck has already been posted otherwise one buck like the tripod buck last year would end the thread.

That Ritzville buck was over 200", a few more I know about as well but can't share the pics.
-
I'll start us off!

Scored around 130. Mule deer Champ until proven otherwise:-). My guess is he won't be champ for long.
-
Nice buck Kurt, like the pic with the lens flare.
-
Don't forget there were some stud whitetail killed this year too, jjhunter, archery288 and DBHawthorn's to name a few.
I'd be willing to bet Hogsnipers is about the highest grossing this year though.
-
My vote goes to Bonnie' s first blacktail. Had to edit after I saw your criteria. Stand by my thinking it's deer of the year, but 160 as a minimum for blacktail? That's a pretty high bar.
-
This guys was alright.
-
Hogsniper killed a giant deer with a bow. Another member killed a great Idaho buck.
-
ftp://
This guys was alright.
That's funny, that deer couldn't even hold that rack up. :chuckle:
-
I'll throw my buck in just to show you guys my biggest buck to date. Shot 10/25/2013. Cascade black tail. Taking the rack in to the puyallup sportsman show this month to have it scored.
-
Alta buck, '13.
-
Damn big blackie Scott! Very nice, that's not a kapowsin deer I assume?
-
My deer of the year vote is for all the "first deer": does, bucks, kids, and adults. First deer will always be the BEST deer. ;)
-
Several of my favorites! Some you all have seen
-
PathfinderJR's general season mulie. Not the biggest this year, but he's a pretty happy kid.
-
Damn big blackie Scott! Very nice, that's not a kapowsin deer I assume?
No not a kapowsin buck. He's a south east buck. Only buck I saw in kapowsin this year was a small 2 pt :(
-

I agree with Mike450r, this is Bonnie's first deer and I don't know the score but it is one of the biggest blacktail I have seen.
-
Dang! That will be tough to beat for the blacktail championship!
-

:yeah: :yeah: :yeah: :yeah: :yeah: :yeah: :yeah: :yeah: :yeah:
-
Nice buck kentrek! That beast has a couple of long tines! You are whitetail champ until proven otherwise !
-
Ya sorry bro but 160" for a true peninsula blacktail isn't going to happen. Personally, I think anything over 120" for a blacktail shot on the peninsula is a big blacktail.
-
I'll add a whitetail into the mix
:yike: :yike: :yike: :yike: :yike: :yike: :yike:
-
does it have to have a tag on it because that stud on boneaddicts avatar is still running around out there.
for BT Bonnie's buck is a dandy
-
I havent heard of any whitetails in WA over 200" ...Mid 180's is the biggest I have heard of.
-
OK Bonnies doubles this bucks score I'm sure. If there is a separate category for Archery BT than I want to put this guy up.
He was tooth aged at 10+ yrs old. He didnt have any teeth left above the gum line so the bio had to use the nub of one that was still in the jaw, he said he couldnt get as accurate a result as normal but said he could only be positive the buck was OVER 10 years old.
He was green scored at 92" so probably will come up just short of 90" after drying period.
-
some dandy bucks!!
-
Saw this one on facebook but I can't remember if it was on hunt wa or not....

Sweet looking buck, did it take you a while to find him? it looks like he was down for awhile by the look of his face, kind looks like he has bed head.. lol.
-
That muley that Gringo killed with his bow looks like a stud - especially for a general tag!
-
2013!
-
Yeah he was left overnight and his antlers popped off when he hit the ground. The shot was actually good but one of the blades center punched a rib and deflected the arrow hard right catching only one lung and the rest guts. He only went 40 yards after being hit but he was up on his feet for 35 minutes or so before he finally crashed.
I think it got down to high teens or low 20's that night so his face was froze pretty solid and didn't help the pics that's for sure.
-
I would like to nominate doublelunger's buck this year. I think he called him curly
-
this one maybe.....maybe even deer of the decade. :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Utah, southern.. I know right where he is by the pic, even got the GPS coordinates from it...
-
Two Wisconsin archery whitetails. Wish I could claim I shot either one, but that is not the case. The first green scored 244 and was shot last year, the second beat it as the new state record archery buck, and was shot this year.

Weird, the coordinates I got from the pic were Nevada.
-
Rbinhood...were those high fence hunt bucks or fair chase?
-
Both were fair chase. The first one has a great story associated with it that you can probably find with a google search.
-
I would put that bottom buck right at 260 5/8 gross, and 249 5/8 net... :chuckle:
-
Good eye, Buckmark---and you read well, too. :chuckle:
-
Dang I guess I'm in third now :chuckle:
-
Best buck was the Late non typical teanaway buck.

Well HellYeah I would be mounting that Buck! Beauty!
-
Maybe not the biggest whitetail this year, but still an impressive deer.
-
That is one fine whitetail!
-
This one made us all smile......
Our kids, wife, and cousin in pic. Its not even close to the requirements, but it may as well have been 200" :)
-
Corey,
That's an awesome deal for sure. Great memories.

My biggest black tail. True blacky

Yote hunter, that's a stud for sure , but I think Bonnie's first deer ever gets my blacktail vote. :yike:

Weren't there any greens and browns in that face paint kit? :chuckle:
-
I just don't understand the blocked out faces in some of the posts? Are they wanted criminals? Called in sick to work that day? With that big of a deer my face would gladly be on the photo, I just don't see any reason?

Most people just don't want their face spread all over the internet and viewed thousands of times. That's my only guess :twocents:.. :dunno:
-

:yeah: I asked that question years ago and someone responded that they didn't want people on here to know what they looked like in cause the ran into each other in real life!!! :dunno: At lease they put a smiley face on the lucky hunter.
-
Whats hillarious is when people pull pics from a social media site or a pic that is in a magazine and then continue to black out faces on here

I have seen this buck in person... its HUGE!

What happens when you sell your story and pictures to a magazine. Then turn around and post them on the internet?
Not sure if there is but I'd think the magazine wouldn't appreciate it.

There are deals made when submitting your story to a magazine. All of them are different where some ask for exclusive rights to the story and pictures. Western hunter told me I could share it if I wanted! They were just happy I sent them the story and pictures.

More people buy the magazine to read the story :twocents: I don't know if magazines are "buying" stories (some magazines will send sponsor gear).

 Any magazine would be lucky to be the one to print that buck and story, well done brother!
-
I'm not directing this at anyone, but stories can be made up and you can usually tell when something is photo shopped. So I'm more of a picture kinda guy.
Thanks for answering my question though. That is a heck of a buck and congrats.
-
Not the winner but my best buck. Washington muzzle.
-
Missed the pics

stepdad said his taxi green scored it 181 ish
-
This is my buck of a lifetime not the biggest but we have a lot of history. 4x4 with eye guards blacktail
-
Nice blacktail hick, any side shots?
-
i would have to vote for bonnies blacktail, i guess its tough cause there are a couple hog muleys and hog whiteys, but my only real huntn passion is blacktail, if i killed her buck and i have killed some nice ones but if i shot hers i could probably go chase a muley or a whitey, i doubt it though cause blacktail gets under your skin, it is that imposable scratch, the more you scratch it the worse it gets, i am sure some of you guys feel that way about muleys and whiteys
-
I agree with Jackmaster. Bonnie's buck is one nice buck especially shooting a B-C buck for your first deer.
-
Bonnie's buck gets my vote. A Blacktail of that caliber is the deer of a lifetime.
