Title: First bear rug
Post by: shanevg on November 12, 2008, 10:43:16 PM: Took these pictures a while back, figured I might as well post them. This is my first bear rug from the bear I shot last September. I got it back in August of this year. Bruce Tediesky of Wildlife Art Taxidermy in Whatcom Count did a great job on him.

I didn't keep the skull from this bear, I don't know why, I just didn't think I had anything to do with it at the time. But I did keep the skulls from my bear this year. I just had my Great Uncle put the smaller of the two on a plaque European style. I don't have any pictures yet, but I will post them when I do. It looks really nice. I am having my bigger bear of the year done at a beetle farm so that one will take a bit longer to get back.

Very cool, can't wait to get mine back. Not sure where it's going. I know bighorns2bushytails isn't getting anywhere near it though.

this is true,my friends wife ripped her toe open on the teeth of a bear rug in front of the fire place,had to get sewn up.She said she walked by and snagged it!Hmmm
