My wife and I are moving to Boise, ID here in may for 5 months of schooling. I have a german shorthair, Trigger, who is a lotttttttt of work to keep excercised. He needs to be run off leash, in an area where he can range pretty far and not bother people who don't like dogs. Has anywhere lived there in the past/present and have any places they can recommend to run him through the summer? Any help would be great and would help decide which apartments we want to live in as well ( The nearer to good running ground, the better!) Thank you much for any info! :)

You can cut him loose up by arrowrock resovior north of town. Specially if the water level is down...

I'm from Boise. The entire area around Boise has places to run your dog, so no problem finding a area in the foothills just outside of Boise.

for what it's worth....be careful of snakes if your dog (or you) isn't used to them. I always managed to see a lot of them in the foothills throughout the summer.

I lived there when I went to Northwest Linemans College. There is a ton of room to run your dog. I liked the area south of Kuna heading towards Swan Falls.
