There have been multiple threads about which is the best trail cam.
This poll only covers the most popular models I believe :dunno: When voting PLEASE consider all aspects(price, pic. quality, durability, dependability, battery life, etc.)
Trying to just rate the average cameras here, not the high end and lower end ones.
I thought it would be nice if we could gather all the input in one spot, to help those who are looking to buy.

I voted for the 8mp Bushnell. Great battery life, easy to use, lots to like. Also, I picked up two at Cabelas just after Xmas for $129 each...can't complain.

I have two bushnell 8mp cams and have never had any issues. What I really like is that the batteries will last you all year. It might be a little more money then some of the other cameras but I have had battery eaters and those expenses quickly add up. :twocents:

My vote goes to the moultries. I've had two bushnells and two moultries. I've never had a problem with moultries and have had a lot of problems with the bushnells.

I don't have any because I'm cheap. But if I was willing to spend $150 to $200 per camera, I would be buying Coverts.
However, I always get my cameras for $50 to $75, usually when they go on sale. So I'm not voting in the poll since my main criteria is price.

mine is too...I always buy sale cams on amazon or natchezz..I can get coverts for $90-$100 in some models

I own a wide range of cameras from Stealth cam, wildgame innovations, moultries, tasco, and wild view. All of them have their pros and cons but I am leaning towards Stealth Cam and wildgame innovations more and more. With that being said, I look for deals on cameras and have not spent over $100.00 on a camera yet.

My vote would be moultrie, covert or wildgame innovations. Also your prices must be from cabela's. Ebay and amazon are your friend. They have the cheapest prices. I bought a moultrie M-990i like 6 months ago or so and it came with a security box and python cable lock for just over $200 on ebay. All brand new in box.
I also have a couple m-100's and a covert reveal and they all work great. My primos truth cam 60 didn't last long..

I own 6 Bushnells and have had no problems with any of them.
There are many varieties of cams out there, and lots of places to buy them/price points. The point of this poll is to help give advice on the most popular ones. Prices/brands listed are from Cabelas. Love or hate them, a lot of people shop there.

I would have been just as well served to flush a grand down the toilet than purchase the Leupold cameras as I did! Couldn't get pictures of "Tail" , body or head :chuckle:
Next purchase will be Wildlife Innovation I think. Know a few that have them and find them great and trouble free at a reasonable price.

I use bushnell trophy cams and a few refurbished moultrie m-80s but I certainly like the look of the Wildgame Innovations cameras :tup:
As long as it takes good pictures / video and uses AAs, I like them.

so i just set up a browning spec ops for the first time (i bought a range ops and was not impressed), little back yard test run. so far so good. pics are good and not one false trigger. cam seems to pick up any animal movement even in the mid teens. this is the higher end browning, it has black flash, a viewer, 32gig capacity. all kinds of bells and whistles. but i think my favorite thing about it is the preview. when you turn this camera on, the viewer screen shows you what the camera sees so that you know you always have it pointed exactly where you want. this is especially helpful to me as i put my cams up about 12 feet, and climbing a ladder over and over to do adjustments and still maybe have it pointed wrong... thats a pain. this cam takes care of that, no problem. so far im thinking ive found my new go to cam. super easy to use and ( although i havent had too much time to use it yet ) seems like a really good cam. theyre about $200 most places, but wal-mart.com has them for i think $147. awesome deal. heres a daytime and a night time example. the night pics are a bit better than i expected from a black flash cam and the daytime pics are all really nice and clear. very little blurring in any of the photos. i will be going out tomorrow or the next day since theres so little snow around, and putting a couple up in the types of areas i really like to run my cams. dense dark timbered areas with poor lighting. i feel thats the real test, is how the cam handles that kind of setup. ill bait them to be sure to get some activity, and let them sit a while. so far tho this cam gets two thumbs up from me :tup: :tup:
edit: pulled one from dark timber area, worked great. once again no false triggers, and it catches movement far out on edges of frame really well. the range ops, the cheap one, would take night pics in the middle of the day, which was aggravating, but the spec ops didnt do that once. perfect performance from it.
