Wasnt sure if you guys already saw this but thought i would post and see.
White Elk
Found only on a few "Wildlife Preserves" in North America is the gorgeous and rare "White Elk". At Silvertine we have the largest breeding herd of white elk in North America ! Each year we offer a very limited number of trophy size White Elk to sportsman only available through our preserve. Our herd dates back to the original herds that was captured from the wild. Although we do have a few albinos, 95% of our herd is colouroids, without pink eyes. This species of elk is the most limited of all the elk to hunt. Procuring a trophy-size set of antlers from this species is even more difficult, as they are not as genetically strong, or have as large a bodied as the standard Rocky Mountain Elk. The White Elk has a solid white coat of hair, cream colored mane. The coloration of there antlers is normally always lighter that the standard elk. The White Elk grows typical antler formation as the Rocky Mountain Elk, and from time to time we get some that will have an extra non-typical point here and there. We consider a White Elk that scores over 300 to be a trophy class bull, but we have several each year that will score as high as 360+, making those bulls an extremely rare and coveted trophy for the serious collector. Nowhere else on any preserve will you find a better selection of white bulls than with Silvertine. We are very limited to the number of White Bull Elk we offer to our hunters each fall, and it is recommended that if you want to harvest one of these magnificent rare elk, you need to consider contacting us right away, as we are often booked out a year or more in advance.

can you say inbred.................. :puke:

There was one in the Yakima herd a few years ago. I think it was hunter harvested.

i like the white velvet too

I have to admit, it would be pretty cool to get one, but I definitely wouldn't consider it a "true trophy" like the ad says. If I had the money, I can see myself paying for it though, it sure would look cool on the wall.

Wow that's crazy looking! I think I would freak a little if I saw one of those in the woods.

If I remember right there was a guy from Cle Elum that got one about 3 or 4 years back. I think his name was something like Moesbar (sp) but it was from around Golf course road area. Word was that Cabela's offered a pretty good sum of money for it. Not sure what ever happened with it.

I know in Sweden all the Stags are pure white now.Years ago when large hunting estates evolved the white stags were the most desired and sought after by hunters. Hunters would pay alot more for them. So after many years all the brown deer were culled completely out to produce an all white strain. Interesting.
