Congrats! Nice birds! What's the difference between the black bellies and the grey belly? Subspecies?

There are light bellied and dark bellied races. At least that is what the bird book says, I haven't hunted them... yet. Nice job H2O. How do they taste?

Always a good day when you have a good day hunting.
-
Very nice! Can you hunt them on land like any other bird, or is it more successful to hunt them on water?
-
They sure are some cool birds.

There are a few clubs that can be hunted from ground, but for the most part individuals are hunting out of boats in this state. Many locations in other states offer great hunting for them from shore. If we had more access and better shore lines for where we are allowed to hunt for them, it would make it a lot easier to harvest them.

Awesome job!

I'm pretty jealous. Brant is the only bird I have left to shoot.

Nice, those guys are on my bucket list!
