For those that keep track of their boat gas and turn in the receipts for a refund, don't forget to get them sent off to Olympia.
I only had receipts for 592 gallons in 2013. I burned probably 300 more gallons at Neah Bay,but Big Salmon doesn't give a receipt that qualifies to be sent in for the refund.

I'm not familiar with this rebate - can you pls explain ? or show link ?

We get a bunch back, when I remember to send them in.
-
So how much of a refund per gallon does it come out to.
-
Yeah that sucks that my receipts from Big Salmon are no good. All mine from Everett are the same. That's probably 500 gallons or more. That's a ripoff.

IIRC its about 18 cents a gallon.
I should have slightly over $100 coming back.
-
You can do this any month of the year.

What does this mean? Any receipts that include the gallons purchased and the price per gallon from within, I think, the last 14 months, for boat gas, can be turned in.
I thought it was something like half the gas tax that was returned. :dunno:
-
The receipt has to include the gas station's name, address, phone number, cost per gallon, and gallons purchased.
Big Salmon's receipts don't include any of that.

If you are buying large amounts of gas in the future, you might ask the manager to hand write a receipt, for a good return customer, I would think they would be willing to do this. :dunno:

The state won't accept hand written receipts. I've tried.

I got $49 bucks in the form of a check from the State of Washington, that was for 400+ gallons... Whew, but hey better than nothing for sure. Now that extra $50 bucks fills my tank about a 1/4 full....

Wow I have never heard of this. Looks like it can be used for tractors also. I guess I need to start keeping track of receipts.
-
Marina gas does not qualify, since it doesn't have the road tax included in the original price... not a ripoff to not get back a tax you never paid in the first place.

Yep. I run on-road diesel through my little tractor and get that tax back too.

Sure it does. Clear diesel purchased at the marina is taxed as well.
