Just wondering if anyone has gone back out scouting this year yet ? Or is it too soon still ?

I have been. It's never too early.

Best time to scout is right after the season for whiteys...snow on the ground you can go in and not worry about spooking bucks find scrapes, rubs, bedding areas and highly used trails will tell you alot about the deer in your area and how they use it. I mark bedding sites, scrapes and rubs and high use trails on my gps and refer to it if I hunt there.

I never stopped.

I am in the woods I hunt all the time. I never go on "scouting" trips, but am there, and "a good hunter always hunts" according to my grandpa.

Define Scouting. If I am in the woods, I call it living.

I am usually in the woods year round, slower this time of year but still going out. Plus you can always pack a rifle to shoot cougar, bobcat, yotes, etc.- so there is lots of hunting still to be done if you really wanted!

I am starting next weekend

I am in the woods a lot still but I can't access most of my preferred deer or elk areas because they're pretty well snowed in for the winter. I don't have the time to hike in for 8 hours.
Last weekend I found a new area that I'm very excited about for next year. It's where I believe several bucks live that I could only catch on camera here and there last summer.
