They have some wildlife there that's for sure.
-
Ok one more. It's awesome to see all their hard work and years of sacrifice paying off. Good people.
-
And then that buck gets a little spunky and rears up taking an eye out with his hoof and decides her screaming is worth a couple jabs with his antlers :bdid:
-
some nice looking pets. will it be hard putting him down come fall time? :chuckle:

I don't know if that kind of stuff happens out there... the town of Ocean Shores is notorious for stuff like that. There isn't many trees, if at all, the deer are all yard ornaments scattered around. You see them eating out of people's hands all day every day. I know what you mean though..
-
Closest thing I had to vacations as a kid were trips to Ocean Shores. We used to call it Open Sores :chuckle:

Got some friends that live there year round. Apparently the deer are considered legal citizens. No hunting allowed and hitting one with a car is treated the same as if you hit a child. :yike:

Lol! This isn't her first rodeo with critters she'll be fine, they're finally getting to move to their dream retirement house after lots of years on a farm, but I'll pass on your concern thanks!
I just thought these pictures were neat and thought I would share.

those deer arent the aggresive type, they grow up eating out of peoples hands, that and it aint the rutt :chuckle:
-
that 2 pt is about a stud thats for sure, holy hell, that is a huge body
-
Hold still fella let grab those antlers it won't hurt. :chuckle:

It is illegal to hit one with your car? You will be charged with a crime? :yike:

:dunno: From what they told me.... yes! I had a difficult time keeping my shirt dry the last time we visited them  The deer are very tame. Caught my daughter trying to pet a bambi(spots). :nono:

Cool pics, thanks. I was thinking the same thing about petting wild animals, but OK.

Kind of what I was told too. They have a lot of slow speed limits through the area where the deer like to hang out. And if you hit one you were likely speeding. They don't overlook it and say "it's just a deer", so they go after you like if you hit a dog or a kid.

Who needs a rack trap when you can wiggle them every day like a loose tooth.

cool pic. Looks like the forky is a littler older than the 3x. Crazy how genetics works. I bet that forky is a year older than that 3 point.

:yeah: We're just gonna tie a string around your horn and then to this door knob and bingo! you won't feel a thing! :chuckle:

That 3 point with the tiny body in the first picture looks like a real young buck. If he lives 4-5 more years he might be a stud. Nice bucks.
-
There are awesome genetics in Shores. I used to stay at my girlfriends (now wife) who grew up there, on the weekends and would always see this stud 5 pt that easily went 150", Easy. During the rut, he was hot on some does and I drove right up to him just because I couldn't believe how big he was. He didn't even care.
-
I've spent a lot of time working out there. I always likes seeing all the deer. They'd walk right past the job trailer like we weren't even there. There are some big ones for sure
-
Need a big stick lol...
-
My boss lives in shores and has had a 5x5 sleep regularly in his flower beds and I've been trying to convince him to let me use his second story window as a tree stand :chuckle:
-
I could go hunting there with a ball peen hammer

That's what we called it when we were hooking up with the local ladies! That and Scaberdeen. :chuckle:
Some of the deer around there are tiny like those Sitka blackies. Nice racks but smaller bodies which is the exact opposite of the local ladies that we ran into!
