And then that buck gets a little spunky and rears up taking an eye out with his hoof and decides her screaming is worth a couple jabs with his antlers     :bdid:

I don't know if that kind of stuff happens out there... the town of Ocean Shores is notorious for stuff like that. There isn't many trees, if at all, the deer are all yard ornaments scattered around. You see them eating out of people's hands all day every day. I know what you mean though..

Got some friends that live there year round. Apparently the deer are considered legal citizens. No hunting allowed and hitting one with a car is treated the same as if you hit a child.  :yike:

Lol!  This isn't her first rodeo with critters she'll be fine, they're finally getting to move to their dream retirement house after lots of years on a farm, but I'll pass on your concern thanks!

I just thought these pictures were neat and thought I would share.

It is illegal to hit one with your car? You will be charged with a crime? :yike:

Cool pics, thanks. I was thinking the same thing about petting wild animals, but OK.

Kind of what I was told too.  They have a lot of slow speed limits through the area where the deer like to hang out.  And if you hit one you were likely speeding.  They don't overlook it and say "it's just a deer", so they go after you like if you hit a dog or a kid.
