I wonder if there is a lot of hand torque using that axe?

I've got some 300 year old oak that he can break his wrists on with that thing.  By the way, hydraulic log spliiters are for girls and old men!

I bet it doesn't work on a real piece of wood.  My wrist was aching just watching that video.

honestly I dont see the draw, im sure if you stacked up 2 of whatever he was chopping in the videos, and I took just a regular ol ax, I could pert near keep up. get into any real wood and I would come out much less beaten and do it faster im sure.

Yeah, not at all interested in that gimmick.  I like my 8#'er for the real work.

I've seen that tire trick before. Pretty good idea really. Not having them shoot our everywhere. And have to bend over to pick them up. I don't understand why he took them out of the tire and through them on the ground?

I don't either as the tires would make great fire starters.

Or how about some Locust?  I can rustle up some stringy gnarly twisty green stuff or some rock hard solid dried.

If I had designed that I think I would make the handle rotate without having to let it slip inside your hands,  so you can grip it as normal.

I'd use a spring or rubber torsion rod then slide that into a proper oval handle, it would then spin inside the handle and leave your wrists alone.
The axe head would spring back straight as soon as the stroke is done.

Or just use a hydraulic splitter  :chuckle:
