This guy will be coming home with us on Feb. 17. We're getting really excited to get him home and start working with him. Hopefully he will be ready to go by fall.

good looking pup, my next dog is still in the oven :chuckle: she is due next month. I am counting down the days. Have you got a name yet?

I love puppies as well  however those puppy teeth :yike:

I think we're set on the name Cooper. My son can't wait until the pup is house trained so they can sleep in his bed together.

You will thank me for this later.......... take two or three old towels along with you when you pick up the pup.Use the towels to gather scent from Momma and his littermates, rub them all with the towels. The scent will help calm your pup in his crate at night thinking he is still surrounded by his buddies and not so alone.Old trick and it works,I make sure to send pups off with a pack scented rag.I've done it both ways, the towels help immensely,Take a couple for the obvious reason of piddling in the crate should you miss the warning signs of I GOTTA GO! You can actually teach them to pee on command if you go directly from crate to outside and say " Hurry up" and then praise after they go.My buddy taught me that years ago.My dentist got a new pup last year and I told him about it,he followed the directions and called me back and said " Huh who would have thought" everyone he runs into is pretty impressed with the pee on command. It really makes it handy for traveling long distance, you can get em out of the truck, peed and back on the road again far quicker than sniffing for the perfect spot to mark.

Put him back in the oven, he's not done yet! Need to leave'em in till they are black :sry:
