Anyone planning on attending the banquet this year. I saw that the location has changed to the lynnwood convention center from Comcast arena :dunno:. Wife and I bought our tickets on Tuesday.
-
not going this year...i tend to spend too much money on the raffles....wonder why they moved it to Lynnhood?
-
Could be a number of reasons. I hear you about spending to much money wife and I spent to much.
-
We will be going to the one at bethany community church in everett on sunday evening never been to one.its in everett.
-
I put myself on the sponsor board this year. Keeping my fingers crossed I could use a new gun.

I'll be on the Sponsors board as well. Also probably be a player in the live auction on something. I usually get after something there just to make it interesting.
Of course I'll be raising Drocks bidder number during the live auction as well so he has a surprise at the end of the night...

I was a Committee member of this chapter for several years but did not attend last years banquet, I heard that Comcast raised the prices too much and they got a good deal in Lynwood :twocents:
The wife and I will probably be attending this year.

I wondered why they moved. Also last year there was a slight issue with running out of food :yike:

Anymore members going interested in joining our table? May have a way of reserving a hunt wa table if we have enough interested.

We have a table reserved for HuntWa, should seat 8, if we need another it should not be a problem.

Only two people in my party this year. Not sure if goldeneye planned to sit with us or not again this year. My wife and I will sit at the hunt wa table. Thanks for doing that.
-
I'll be there. I was thinking I'd share a table with you again Drock. If you have a better offer, I understand. I'll join a Hunt-Wa table if there's room.
-
We will be sitting at the hunt wa table. Elkaholic will you be joining us at the hunt wa table? As of right now we only have 3 seats confirmed GoldenEye, my wife and I. Still plenty of room.
-
Yes, my wife and I will join you at said table

I'm interested in going. I'm not a member, so would I get the $75.00 SINGLE SUPPORTING Ticket - (Includes 1 meal & 1 supporting membership)?
And does the $20 MEDALLION RAFFLE (Pick of any LIVE AUCTION Item w/limited exclusions), let me bid on 1 item or bid or all items until I buy one?
Carl

Once you buy your dinner ticket (that includes membership)you are given a bidder number. That let's you bid on live and silent auction items. You also need that bidder number if you get into any raffles. The Medallion raffle is basically a poachers raffle. You have the pick of the live auction items excluding a few items which are spelled out in the auction guide. Hope you join us Carl, this is a good event!
-
Like GoldenEye said you can bid on an item you want during the live auction. The medallion raffle is separate. The $75 would get you your membership and entrance into the banquet. Lots of fun games to play too.
-
Not sure how these will turn out they are screen shots off my phone.
-
Great. Thanks for the info. I'll see if I can swing it.
Still have a seat at the table?
-
As far as I know. I think we have 5 members confirmed at the table so far room for 3 more I believe.
-
Looks like we have 6 confirmed hunt wa seats filled. 2 more seats available at the reserved hunt wa table.

No DU event that night, I'll see if I can get a kitchen pass.

I've been cleared to attend!
This will be my first time and someday I might even get to go Elk hunting.
Looking forward to a fun time with the group. Oh, is it white tie or just black tie? :chuckle:

I will not be wearing a tie of any sort. Blue jeans and maybe a callard shirt is about it for me. Oh and my *censored* kickers :llam:
-
Looks like we'll have a full table of 8. My grandfather and cousin will be attending also.
-
Wifee n I n mom will be running the penny raffle. Then sitting at the elliot table with my elk group if we get to sit at all :chuckle:
the move will be awesome! Tons of free parking. More better food and more square footage at a better deal. Less money spent on bills equals more moneys for elks!!!
Wifee n I underwrote a rifle, my mom underwrote another as memorial to my dad plus wifee did a quilt. Friends from church did another quilt and a jewelry donation so not just guy stuff!
Camo or cowboy garb is pretty common. Its always a really funtime. I know there are more 'lesser items' this year so that auction items are not all deep pocket folks. Bidding get crazy some times like on those African hunts!
-
Thanks for the update . Can't wait to see the new venue.
-
Getting closer :chuckle:
-
Have you scoped out the new location? I know it's a longer drive now. Hopefully the parking stalls will accommodate full size trucks. There will be plenty of them at this event...
Seems like Seattle likes to use smaller parking spaces. I was down at Outdoor Emporium in Seattle on Sunday. Their parking lot and stalls are tiny. Parking spaces like that would not work well with the RMEF event.
-
I scoped it out last weekend did a little drive by since I was in the area. Didn't notice size of the stalls. :sry:. Doors open at 4 I believe wife and I will be in line early. Got to get a head start on those games you know.
-
No pong for you! Your cut off... :chuckle:
-
I like all the games
-
I just heard Woodswalker and GF will be attending as well. Looks like Hunt-Wa will have decent representation at the event.
-
I just asked if they could reserve a second table for Huntwa.... :dunno:
-
We have 1 table reserved....It might be under my name, Jerry Barchenger or HuntWa, I plan on getting there early and will try and get a second table then if we need it :)
-
I'll plan on being in line prior to 4 o'clock.

You almost sound like one of those people that camp out over night to be first in line for a event. Setting up a tent in the parking lot tonight? :P
-
Might bring the trailer down for the weekend :chuckle:
-
Do we have a table number?
-
Do we have a table number?
I don't know.

The table name tag will have HuntWa or Jerry Barchenger on it :twocents:

See ya'll there.

It was a good night alright. Glad to meet some members I had not met before. There was a lot of money raised for the cause. I could not believe the bidding frenzy that happened with the South African Safari hunts. I've never seen 4 of them sold at an event before.
Anyways, congrats to Mrs Drock and Woodswalker for taking home a couple nice firearms. It seemed my role last night was to donate $'s and moral support for you guys. That's the way it is sometimes. Hope to see you all at future events...
-
Good time for sure last night.
-
The yoga convention was of the hook! Team Jacob 4ever.
-
Here's a pic of my new shotgun
-
Oh...is the Ms letting you borrow it?
-
I put my foot down and took it. :chuckle:

Exhausting but excellent event!
Flipping to days from grave, wifee & I woke up wayyyyy too early Sat morn at 3am and couldn't get back to sleep. :yike: So it went like this:
Up at 3am. Coffee, snack & hour drive to Lynnwood by 8am. Set-up until about 12:30. Quick stop at Guitar Center so wifee could by my b-day present. (by now it's pissin rain). Fight traffic all the way to Arlington. Hit atm. Then up the hill to get my maw. Back to Lynnwood by 3pm. We ran the penny raffle btw! Hope I saw some of you. :hello: Wiffee trying to clerk the auction. Wifee also donated the 2 quilts. (one hers, one with church friend's help)
Me collecting all her winnings! :P and shuttling raffle buckets. She won the .17HMR!!!
I barely had time to wolf down dinner and no desert! 10pm closed on time. Then tear-down until 10:45ish when we bailed. Maw's new knee & buggered back got a workout. She was done.
Back to Arlington to drop her. (now it's not pissin. It's pourin!) Finally home about 12:30. Play with the pups some and rehydrate. Lose an hour to DST!. So bed by 2am.
We were up 22 hrs straight and running the whole time.
......oh yeah.... then church the next morning with music practice an hour before that! I'm glad it's only once a year for us!
Thanx to all who participated. HUGE help for elk habitat! :)
and, YUP, the South African Safari hunt bidding was I N S A N E!!!! 8)
