I would if I was retired, didn't have a broken arm, lived closer and wasn't a woman. It would be a little uncomfortable. I love the Pasayten area. Been there 3 times now on horseback in the summer! I like clearing trail also, we do it alot in the winter where we ride. I'm out for a while due to taking a tumble off my horse, thus the broken arm. :(I'll try to answer several questions in one post

Cleared numerous trails while working as a guide for local outfitters when the snow cleared and took folks in on horseback pack trips
Let me clarify something this won't start until the snow leaves where I am going to start, Probably mid to late June, I understand the living closer that could be a drawback for quite a few folks, After all I am 30 miles past nowhere, and as far as the gender thing that would not be a problem as while working as a guide for the local outfitters I got used to being in a camp with more estrogen than testosterone plus for some reason women felt they needed to work harder than the guys to prove themselves and all I'd be looking for is someone that understands the concept of sharing the workload.
This is something that is going to get done this summer with or with out help. If I do it alone the area shall remain more or less a honey hole, just be one less head of stock I need to use to haul supplies in and out. Because everyone here knows not many folks willing to hike 22 miles into the wilderness for an area they haven't scouted and without good mountain stock not gonna make the 22 miles and 6500 foot gain in elevation in one day so will be pretty much left alone to hunt an area that would almost be a private hunting area on public land

Not retired (I should be at 50 though) and really do not have any interest in participating in the end goal - the hunt. But if you get in a bind to achieve your goal to make it to where you want to be hunting, I could probably swing using up some vacation time to pitch in on a Wed to Sun trail clearing trip.
My saddle horse or yours?

Sorry for taking so long to get back and reply but been out of state for 6 weeks with family emergency
1.Other hunters may be invited but this WILL NOT be a camp where any fees are charged to hunt I am Not an outfitter and will not become one not try to be one.
2.Yes I have been on a large portion of the trail but not all of it, what I have been on I am setting a goal of 3/4 to 1 mile per day by myself working 8 to 10 hours per. AS of last November during the end of bear season there were 12 blow downs in the first 3 miles then nothing but brush for the next 2 miles
3. The first 8 to 12 miles is going to be pretty much just blow downs and cutting back some brush with a about 1 mile of rock clearing through some switchbacks. beyond the 12 mile mark I can't really say as I haven't been beyond that.
4. Good enough that I'm not gonna starve and don't rely on MRE's for my meals.

Now comes the fun stuff moving some VW bug sized boulders, some shovel work in the rock slides and clearing lots and lots of blowdowns anywhere from 6 inches to 36 inches in diameter. One thing is for sure won't run out of seasoned firewood while out there.
Dayum this working for someone else only 2 days a week is GR8. Gives me plenty of time for things I want to do.

Will still be pretty much a secluded area as from mile 2 to mile 3 is all UP HILL with to many switchbacks to count then another 3 miles to the hunting area. One good thing about this new area is it is extremely scenic Plenty of good cold water that is fast moving so won't be any need to carry in water or filter and found lots of sign for both deer and bear.
Attached are a couple of pictures of the area and what the trail looked like before I started picking rocks (Picture 4) and after (Picture 5).. Sorry pictures aren't better but taken with a dinosaur flip phone.
