Title: Preparing my trophy room
Post by: rosscrazyelk on February 24, 2014, 04:35:04 PM
I am starting the plans on my trophy room. I have seen some nice ones and I am going to steal ideas from them and add some of my own.
Does anyone know where one can get reclaimed timber?
Also any place that sells old barn wood? or know someone who is giving some away?
Thanks

My wifey used wallpaper on my room that looks just like a wood cabin. Sounds corny I know but it really does look good.

its some work, but if you ever drive out to sequim, alot of the old farms that have falling down barnes are a good place to start,  especially along the salt, like over by the oyster house and such, port williams, over by the game farm, i love working with old wood, it makes the coolest stuff, just keep your eye out, maybe even up in enumclaw around some of the old farms, some people charge, others will give it to you if you clean it all up

Thanks. Awesome present from my wife!!
It really doesn't look cheesy at all, I'm pretty sure that's partially because my wife doubles as "perfect-wallpaper-putter-onner-chick", it's flawlessly done.
