Title: Draw Length
Post by: jstone on March 10, 2014, 07:35:05 AM
My draw length is 30 and i have a 29.5 cam on my Z7 at 70 pounds. Will it be worth it to install a 30" cam or a waist of money?

If you are shooting a D loop you will be just fine at 29.5

You are better off 1/2" too short than 1/4" too long. If it group well and you are comfortable the small amount of added speed is not worth the money. A slow arrow in the middle is better than a fast arrow in the dirt. :chuckle:

Shoot it off a d loop as is and roll with it. It'll be perfect.

I assume that your shooting a loop anyway . draw eyes closed and find your solid anchor point open your eye and the peep should be right there , if not change your draw length to short and floating anchor will really screw you up mainly on angle shots. you can try a longer loop I prefer a long loop anyway it makes it easier to nock an arrow without hitting the nock off the string.
