Title: Kapowsin bear access
Post by: JKEEN33 on March 10, 2014, 04:11:00 PM
Well I bought the full access pass the last few years and then bought the Snoqualmie pass this year. Of course I get drawn for spring bear this year. Just curious if anyone knows what the limited pass will cost?

Thanks,

is that strictly just a trespass permit or can you collect wood and whatnot as well?

Can you still get the access permit after drawing the tag?

Generally they're sold out by now, but this year they are still showing 120 access permits available for purchase. So to answer your question longbow, yes.

For Hancock Kapowsin there are 2 different passes . The full year one that give you access , 5 cords of wood and a chance at 1 of 6 bull elk tags , I believe it's $375 this year . Then they have the spring bear pass that costs you $100 and that only gives you access during the spring bear season ( April 15 - June 15) and does not allow any wood cutting and judging from some other post you may not be able to keep sheds you find .

The lady at the front desk says she encourages you not to

Why would they not let you keep sheds from kapowsin? The security guy that stopped me over at the white river farm ( Andy) told me it was totally fine to keep any sheds I may find out there.. Aren't they owned by the same people?

I was told they want the spring bear hunters to be focused on just bear hunting

It could be the people on here just want the sheds for themselves.    :dunno:
