Heard a gobble when I was walking out to my truck from my house this morning then another when I was walking from my truck to my office, cant wait for opening day! Had to skip last years spring season due to a house project and a newborn boy, now its on this year!

I don't see how I'll be able to function during that last week before the opener. I'm going to be going crazy at work all day!

Honestly , it's been tough to keep my mind off it.
I'm excited to get to see tw N.E corner of the state for the first time.

I heard my first "cheeseburger" bird a couple days ago. That to me is the starting of turkey season. It won't be long and I will start getting the shakes.

I sure am glad I don't live where I can hear them or see them before the season opens. It would make it much harder to wait it out!

There isnt that much snow below about 3,000 feet, although some of the south facing slopes look like they are about out of snow. Down in the valleys the snow is going fast. Can't wait to start getting after them!
