My buddy has a pre 64 model 70 in 270. He wants to put a youth stock on it so his son can shoot it. Haven't had any luck finding a youth stock, suggestions or do they even make it? Thanks for the info

Might try these guys. http://www.rifle-stocks.com/ (http://www.rifle-stocks.com/) I think the bigger problem you're going to have is that depending on how long the barrel is, the gun may be front heavy and difficult to hold steady without a rest of some sort (shooting sticks, bi-pod, etc.).

I'd buy the cheapest replacement I could find and saw about 1-1.5 inches off of it so that it fit. Add spacers as the kid grows, then replace with the full size one when he's ready.

+1 no reason to spend a bunch of money when they will out grow it in a year or two.
