I went to rei to buy some Lowa boots but their selection sucked. They really liked these Asolo boots and I have a friend that also likes them. So I bought a pair, 295.00 but 20% off right now so I saved a little. I did try on the Lowa boots they had but they weren't the high end models I was looking for, hope these turn out to work. You guys have much expierince with Asolo?

Best hiking boots I've ever owned. Well worth the $$$.

Love mine. Took a little to break in but I can wear them from sun-up to sun-down and never notice im still wearing them till its time to take them off

Never owned a pair, but have heard very good things about them. If you haven't worn them yet, and providing that Asolo sizing is consistent, there's a pretty good selection over at Sierra Trading Post.

One of the guys I work with uses then and loves them he climbs here and has climbed in Nepal with them

I have owned my pair for over seven years. Still wear them and they are still waterproof.

I bought a pair about four years ago. They did not fit my foot very well at all and I had bleeding blisters even after I got them broke in. So I donated them to a friend low on funds for good boots. He has a larger and wider heal than I have and they seem to work great for him. Knowing the way he hunts, the terrain he covers and the number of days he has put in wearing those boots I would say they just might be the toughest dang boots I've ever seen. Sure wish they had been friendly to my narrow heals as they appear to be dang good boots at a very reasonable price.
I bought mine and my La Sportiva boots from Oregon Mountain Community. While not Lathrop and Sons level of service it's still very good. And pricing is really hard to beat! http://www.omcgear.com/footwear/mens-footwear/boots.html?p=1 (http://www.omcgear.com/footwear/mens-footwear/boots.html?p=1)

You'll be happy with them once they break in. Solid choice!
-
If they fit correctly then you just bought yourself some all terrain foot armor!

i have a wide foot but their medium width fit better than the wide, been walking around with them for a while and all seems well so far.

This will be my 4th year on the same model Asolo's that you bought. Mine kinda look like hell now and are on their second set of insoles but they are really great boots. Good for a surprising variety of weather too!
-
Had them for last season water proofing still works great. I hunted turkey season 4 days, bear 20 days, deer and elk here and Montana and a bunch of hikes. They were good after like a 5-10 mile break in.
-
There ok I got mine from Sierra, wear them as a daily work boot.

Bad ass, but a little heavy

Wow, I must have bought the wrong model of asolo boots. Bought a pair a few years ago-real comfortable-not great support but mine wore out in a little over a year? Also started leaking really bad. Swore I would never buy another pair. I wore them a lot hound hunting in the winter and not really made for that weather and maybe thats why I was not impressed. I bought the meindls that cabelas has made they are awesome
