Beautiful spring day in Stevens county. Grouse are drumming, Canada geese are going crazy chasing each other, lower areas are greening out nicely and the turkeys are getting horny!!!
Winter flocks are breaking up almost daily and seeing a lot of strutting going on. Just a few more days to wait now and I'll be sitting under a pine waiting for a dumb one to come by. Love this time of year and looking forward to carrying the old scattergun into the woods. Seems both the turkeys and the deer wintered very well this year. Ought to be a good opener. Oil your guns boys (and girls), it's getting close!

Weather is warming up for sure now! Going to pattern the 12ga with some new shells then clean the guns and were about set.
