Title: Some Ram shots
Post by: boneaddict on November 22, 2008, 02:32:40 PM: You might have seen some of Lil Bones shots of these guys in her thread, if not, please check them out. I think its in deer hunting.....anyway. Here was what Dad came up with.

JDB and I went for a foray in the desert, and didn't find any bucks to shoot, but on the way home, took the canyon and after spotting a pile of ewes, this guy jumped out at us. He is one of the better rams that I have seen in the canyon, at least in regards to mass.

Yes they are cropped. Thats one advantage of a big lens.

Post by: boneaddict on November 25, 2008, 11:22:27 AM: I think this one was uncropped. I was shooting a 400mm with a 1.4 doubler and with my crop factor, thats about 800mm or so.

Not sure if that makes it illegal or not. Just happened to find some when Lil and I came through that were next to a parking spot. :)

I even ahd the thought that I needed to call Jackelope and tell him to get over here bcauase there was no one on the river.

Post by: boneaddict on November 27, 2008, 03:52:05 PM: Spent yesterday morning climbing around clemans, but didn;t get any good shots. Saw a couple bands of ladies and smaller rams. The two rams that I found were quite skiddish. I suppose someone had been hunting them.
