I was completely wrong these were all in the Alta Unit!!
-
Why is that kitty not dead????
-
If you didn't get a cougar tag :bdid: and there is a couple from not around here and is less then a mile away with a VERY BIG video camera who are hunting. That's why. I just wanted to be able to hunt next year. Plus she was only 100-115 pounds :dunno: Now if the couple weren't around you would never seen this picture.

These deer are from the tripod. Go get some.

Looks like a fun hunt. You should have smoked that whitetail thiugh, don't need them in that country.
-
Nice pics, looks like you had some fun. Congrats

Nice pictures and great buck. I am with Ridge on this one though, should have took one for the team, and smoked the Whitey.
-
He sure would have tasted better. But he was not the only whitetail living there. Need some good whitetail hunters to come clean this area up. Same with Antoine Creek it is full of whitetail that need to be moved.
-
I am an archery hunter grew up in that area and if I don't get any special permits thisyear I would love to tag one of those whitetails. Saw one in the entiat once. Nice buck

Curious as to why you say this? :dunno:
-
They'll run the mule deer out. They're more aggressive.
-
Awesome kitty cat!
-
Beautiful pics! Thx!
-
Ridgerunner has it right; "smoke the whities". Lets keep south of Lake Chelan for the muley herd. Great pics.
-
While I wouldn't disagree with keeping the whitetails out, no way would I use a special permit that took me years to draw to kill 1 dink whitetail buck.
-
Shooting whitetail bucks is pointless. They are too prolific and practically newborn bucks can breed. To have any chance you have to take out does. For that you need the antlerless holders to focus on them or the wdfw to agree and make whitetail "any deer" for modern general. They don't seem concerned with where the whitetails are taking root.

Looking at the vegetation in the pics that is no doubt the TRI POD BURN area! Great pics and thanks for sharing.

Looks like you had a great hunt! Everyone knows that there aren't many deer left in the alta unit, but nice try :chuckle: Thanks for sharing the great pics.
