Title: Blacktail food plots
Post by: Jasmin on April 11, 2014, 12:17:52 PM
I was looking for ideas and info on food plots for deer. We have some elk also that visit the area but am looking more for the deer. We have access to a few hundred acres that also borders a private timber company. Located in Clark County and would like to get something started for my kids. Daughters first year hunting will be this year and I would rather stick around here and not deal with seeing any other hunters for her first year. Any info or direction would be appreciated. Thank you,

I've tried apple trees but have a hard time getting them growing. Maybe I need to give the a boost with fertilizer. Their is also cows that have access to 30% or so of the land. I have access to wheat but not sure if the animals would like that? Mite throw out a bit and set the camera up to see what comes in (birds mostly I am guessing).
