Title: im now a bow hunter
Post by: jbaker509 on November 25, 2008, 09:20:59 AM: i just sold my rifle and bought a new bow i got a pse stinger from cabelas on sunday seems to be a nice bow any one have anything bad to say about our good let me know thanks i know its not xp model but try this for a year our two and upgrade to a xp our the new mathews ressen 340fps thats a nice bow

Post by: Fullabull on November 25, 2008, 12:24:23 PM: I have a PSE Vengeance and love it! 60# shoots smooth and quiet. You do not need an expensive bow to have a good bow ;) been shooting mine for three years now and won't be changing for quite some time.

Post by: LongTatLaw on November 25, 2008, 12:28:38 PM: I have shot a PSE Stingray for ten years Ive changed to a BOWTECH this year and Ive never even held it in my hand (wife bought it while I was here) but PSE makes some good bows...not familiar with that model

welcome to the bow brother...its a different sport all together!

Do yourself a favor and try out any new bow you might buy in the future and compare to all the others out there! I am sure you will love your PSE!

I think you'll soon find that archery is a lifelong addiction of which one cannot easily kick - nor will you want to. If you haven't done so already, I'd suggest that you check the Washington State Archery Association website in order to locate the archery club nearest to you. Besides 3D shoots and the like, at these clubs you'll meet lots of good folks as well as people who can give you help getting started.

+1...make that a 15 year jump start! Seriously, get into a NBEF class. Many states are now requiring Bowhunter Education certification.

Instead of seeing 10 people per hour, like on the modern. I may see 10 people per week, if I'm lucky. I got my first one with a bow this year and there is nothing like it. keep us posted on how you do next year.

i still have lots of guns so ill never run out but i love shootin bow, but i know ill never buy a boy from cabelas. i took my bow to a shop that ive been going to for weeks now and 60 bucks later i was back to shootin cabelas didnt set it up right were u knock the arrow it was 1/4 inch of from my rest and the rest was 1/4 to the left so it shoot high and to right and they put the wrong peep and release string the knot was back wards so it could of came and smack my face. but other than that its all good and ill keep every one up to date oh by the way cabelas said ok thanks for the info
