Title: ASAT camo? opinions and reviews?
Post by: beastmodebowhunter on April 28, 2014, 04:53:17 PM
hey guys just wondering if anyone has any field testing done on asat camo in mainly western washington. im a huge bowhunter and have always just ran to walmart and got realtree ap and most the time i dont even match tops and bottoms..haha.  havent had a huge problem but i usually get the jump on game. as far as spot and stalk goes is asat a pretty decent brand at breaking up your pattern and keeping you well hidden? cant really afford kryptek and sitka like i would like to have so asat seems to fit my budget more.

I like the concept of the high contrast/outline break-up of the ASAT. Don't wear- it though I might... Last I looked it was hard to find in anything other than cotton/poly blend, which I don't personally wear much.

I think it might actually be better not to match top & bottom- breaks up outline better. I feel camo is over-rated. No single pattern typically makes or breaks a situation. I try to avoid the dark blob look of some camo against a lighter or more broken backgroundMove at the wrong time in anything, you'll get busted. Stay still in a green flannel shirt, you'll be money. I replied in your other thread too,  no need to make multiple threads

I have some ASAT branded pants and I don't like them in the wet, they're cotton blend and only good for dry land hunting.  I like them in the fall hunting the dry dead and brown grasses and scrub areas.

ASAT the company I think quit making camo and instead just sell their camo brand to be applied to other manufacturers garb - like first lite

So talking about first lite I really dig their wool under garmets, unfortunately their boxer shorts aren't real durable as I had a nut hanging out my boxers in about 20 miles  :o   but until then I was really comfy in them.
