RadSav's caribou from Northwest Territories. Natural velvet was taken care of by his outfitter, turned out nice.
Rad was the high bidder on our auction item for the Blanchard family fundraiser. Thanks Rad for such a generous bid.
Thanks for looking Rick, Cole and Deb.

Wow, thats a nice one, radsav! Congrats all around
-
Sweet Bou! Did Radsav harvest that one. What a beauty
-
:whoo: That looks fantastic! Way better than just having the antlers sitting on top of the dining room table for a few years. I am extremely happy :)
Thank you so much for the mount and for the generous donation to the Blanchard fund
-
Looks awesome Rick and lightening speed turnaround! Rad, so glad your caribou will finally be home :)
-
One more thing to add to it before it's perfect
-
Man that is gorgeous. Great mount and beautiful caribou Rad. Is that the one in your avatar, it sure looks like it. Good job by both of you for donating to the cause.
-
Doesn't get much better than that gentlemen.

:yeah:
The velvet and the hide really compliment each other.
Rick all of your work is top notch and this is another great example of what you can do. This is the type of work that people should be proud to display and really captures the memory of a hunt of a lifetime.
-
awesome mount , great donation on both ends.
-
Right on, guys. That makes me smile.
-
That mount looks awesome.

Very nice mount! Good job Ric.
-
right on ...Bone Collector  Fine job done by Cedar River too !!

Might need to buy a new truck so I can get it home. Or rent a minivan (incognito of course) 8). Also have to figure out which windows or sliders I will need to remove to get it in the house :chuckle:
-
Thanks everyone! A real pleasure to do this for such a great cause. Thanks Rad
-
Nice job! Ric and Cole.
-
That's a gorgeous mount.

Beautiful work Rick and Cole! I will say it again, thank you all for supporting our family. Not a single day goes by that I don't think about all this community has done for us. Outstanding animal Rad, well deserved!
-
Why do I see something like this in Rads future, but with a caribou mount! :chuckle:
-
If it won't fit in the back of an Exploder you may be right :chuckle:
Does anyone know if a 98 Dodge canopy will fit on a 2013 Silverado? ;)
We will have it worked out by Tuesday I'm sure.
-
That is a beautiful mount and a great cause! Hey Rad I'm headed north tomorrow and my truck has a canopy(2005 Tacoma). You can ride along if you want. Of course if the horns are too big it might not fit. :chuckle:
-
Beautiful mount. Great work Rick!
-
Appreciate the compliments, and a big thanks to all our service men and women.
Thank you!
-
Great work guys!

Rad...how did yah get him home?...any photos :)

Couldn't fit him into the rig I had last trip. We tried, but were about 4" short. Decided to wait on the pick up until the full mount Dall in completed. Then I will rent a panel truck and pick them both up at the same time. Shouldn't be long now! With the MIL moving in space is going to be tight once home as well >:( But she is just going to have to move her crud! Though we have been looking for a new place to live with more space for moose and squirrel to come join 'bou and sheep soon!
I am very fortunate that Rick claims he likes it hanging around the place :chuckle: Though I'm sure this is not to last too long. he seems rather busy and space a premium. Sounds like the sheep should be done within another month!
-
very nice, congrats to everyone involved
-
Freakin' gorgeous!
-
Thanks all. Still looking good on our wall Rad.

At the rate your notching your bucket list and the growth of the business....plus MIL...Wow! I would be looking for a new place too :) I can see a nice QUIET man cave in your future

With the site being slow (waiting for stuff to load) and me not on here as much, I sure missed this one. What a gorgeous mount. WOW
-
Great looking mount.

Outstanding work, you must have soaked that velvet in turpentine huh?

Yes they did. Cut the tips of each point, hung upside down and hand rubbed the blood out each day before dipping in the turpentine again. Not sure how many consecutive days they do that. But it turned out great. Shrink rate was substantial of course. Especially in the paddles. Though that is to be expected with the antlers so green. Still look huge compared to the hard horns!
2016 I will be targeting hard horn exclusively. The colder weather and shorter days might make the sheep hunting tougher. But I will be able to finally get that moose I've been waiting for since I was in grade school. I expect I will be there 20 days next time!

I was in Rick's shop a week ago and got to see this mount up close and personal. Absolutely gorgeous in person.
He was working on a full mount sheep, was that yours? It had a little brown on the lower half like a mix almost. It was gorgeous also.

No that was not my sheep. I saw that Fallon last time I was in there. Pretty neat animal!

Yeah he does so really cool stuff in there. I was just dropping off a set of mule deer antlers from my daughters first buck deer last year. He lets me keep them while I wait in line. Can't wait to see the finished product.
