Hunting the east side of the mountains this year, after not having done so for several years. Hopefully I'll have a new favorite deer unit for next year.

Post by: superdown on June 02, 2014, 09:25:18 AM: Gmu 204 would be my favorite because i have been hunting and fishing that unit for 22 years. I also own property there with Gmu 101 being a close second. The other Gmu's i like to bum around in would be 249 and 335 when i can't get to far from home.

Grew up in the unit, know it very well with its many small huntable parcels and the fact that it has a long and generous season for either sex deer and elk. If you really search, you can find some quality animals. Outside of central Cali, the biggest living BT bucks I have ever seen have been near Oly.
