Title: Pic of a lifetime.
Post by: acorn on June 04, 2014, 09:22:41 PM
From my parents backyard trail cam. There's a couple pics after this one, where the "mouse" gets played with, just like a house cat does.

I'd like to see the follow ups, just to shut up those that I've shown the picture to and they say that maybe the cat left it alone.

Cougars have to eat too.   It's tough not to feel bad for the fawn, and the doe, but lions eat deer...young and old.

Nature is indifferent towards individuals of a population.

In response to some questions/comments I received, though I call this my parents backyard trail cam, which it technically is, they don't exactly live in town. Plus they're super excited about it, they love the wildlife, plus there's been a steep decline in the raccoon population in the month or so, which equally pleases them. Here's the next two pics of the series, nothing gory but based on these pics and that we caught both coyotes and vultures on camera a few days later (plus my parents dog, who loves dead stuff), this little guy didn't make it.

The title says it ALL. That is something else. Good case for using dogs to catch the cute little kitty
