Title: Spec Mount
Post by: Goldeneye on June 14, 2014, 09:16:08 PM
This is the only bird I mounted from this last season.  It's not the most heavily barred spec in the world but it was a pretty bird so that is why I chose to do a mount with it.

In the 2nd picture you can see my lab Bella's head in the lower corner.  She's keeping a close eye on this bird tonight.  Think she remembers retrieving it?  Doubtful, that day she retrieved 90 something geese.

Cool! Is that a Washington Speck? I've seen a few here and there in my hunting areas but haven't been able to get one yet.

Not Washington.  This bird was taken during last years Saskatchewan bird hunt.  I also have seen them move through here.  Getting them here is tough.
