This is the only bird I mounted from this last season. It's not the most heavily barred spec in the world but it was a pretty bird so that is why I chose to do a mount with it.
In the 2nd picture you can see my lab Bella's head in the lower corner. She's keeping a close eye on this bird tonight. Think she remembers retrieving it? Doubtful, that day she retrieved 90 something geese.

Cool! Is that a Washington Speck? I've seen a few here and there in my hunting areas but haven't been able to get one yet.

Not Washington. This bird was taken during last years Saskatchewan bird hunt. I also have seen them move through here. Getting them here is tough.
