Ross posted a thread offering help and he knows the unit very well. Congrats to your daughter (and you). It can be a good tag. Best of luck.

Nice tag to have. Might look into buying a Hancock white river tree farm pass
-
I sent you a pm I've hunted and ran around in that unit for over 35 years. There's slit of elk . Just have to know we're they are. Tell her congrats good tag .
-
You don't need the Hancock pass, talk to rosscrazy elk or me. I've hunted that unit since I was 18. Good tag, pm me with a phone number and we can talk.

Give me a PM. I have a bit of land in the unit and I have an elk problem. Last year a 72 yr old man hunted my place and shot a 6x6. Another guy hunted after that and got into the elk but didn't get a shot.

Thank you to everyone for all your offers of help. I am replying to all the pm's. This site is a great resource for members to share info.

What is the best map for Unit boundaries and access?

What is the best map for Unit boundaries and access?
What part of the unit are you wanting to access? Tree farm or National forest?
-
Probabl national forest. I haven't found a good map that shows good reference points for the unit boundaries, although I haven't looked at a national forest map yet..
-
Look into LC Sportsmaps. They show GMU boundaries, NF and some state land. Good luck to your daughter!
