On the trail: GreenTrails maps available online and at REI. Just takes them to Staples/Kinkos to have them laminated.

GreenDot maps are available online for free. I downloaded one, changed the resolution and had it printed out and laminated at Staples.

Post by: Craig on June 19, 2014, 09:32:03 PM: look at MyTopo. they have all of Washington's GMU. Then you can customize pretty much however you want. They can get pretty expensive depending on size and if you just want a Topo, satellite picture or something else.

Post by: acorn on June 21, 2014, 07:34:58 PM: I still find the free topos from USGS to good enough. Plus they just updated them (most of them at least) in the last few years to include aerials.

I've been doing it that way for about 20 years and it seems to do the trick. I also load all the electronic stuff in the GPS and then promptly never turn it on except to mark the truck as a waypoint.
