Title: Who is doing the R100

If you pre regester it saves you about an hour standing in the un registered line. Then call Sherri Crisp to put you on the camping registration list so you have a spot .

Ummm question though? I use a single pin sight, since I have to adjust it at each shot, that will forever deem me in the "open unlimited class" right? What does it mean under Hunter "no lenses, no electronics" but Unlimited "Anything goes, shoot what you bring. All target bows and accessories permitted." Is that saying rangefinders are allowed in unlimited (I don't want to bring one)? What is a "lens", like binocs? So for Hunter you can't even use binocs? ... lol so confused, sorry, novice questions.

People who take it seriously, and have money to spend, buy sights that accept lens (magnification) kits...basically turns their sights into magnified scopes.

Edit: I suppose I should say that depending on the club you could agree to shoot your single pin in a hunter class but you would have to set it at a certain yardage and not change it.

Umm no, I'm not really at that level to set it at only one yardage and then try to estimate. That would be a huge disadvantage haha I'll just stick to the class I fall in, just trying to understand the lingo so I know in the future :)

not sure about the r100 but most shoots volunteer freestyle is 5 or less fixed pins. You 7 pin shooters should be shooting freestyle.

IBO lifted the 5 pin rule so you can run as many as you want even if it were IBO ruled shoot. Like Sako said, if it moves you are freestyle no matter what else you have on your bow.i have buddies that run a 3 pin mover sight for hunting but when it comes to shooting 3D's they are in with the freestyle group instead of bowhunter freestyle.

Then all you need to do is bring a side dish you made or picked up at the store to share with everyone else who brought a side dish, it's ine big potluck that they have in their club house. Of course you do not need to take part and can stay at your camp and have your own dinner.

Room. I am taking the trailer down on Wednsday after work and setting it up, then will be going back down on Thursday after work to stay till Sunday. Sherri said we would be up at the flag pole where we were a couple years ago. Are you bringing your trailer down?

Oooo neat. Yea no way for me but that's fun incentive. Do they all score like Iron Amos where first day is qualifying then 2nd day is the scores that count?

Giant welt across my arm, lots of tears, but I'm determined to finish this out so I am now shooting Smossy's 2 inches too long, 60 lb draw Bear the rest of this course. A nice woman let me borrow her arm guard. I'll let y'all know how I do. My adrenaline is through the roof and I'm shaking like crazy still :/

Bowpredator can really fry some serious fish. Had a ball and can't wait till the Bonanza. Did manage to get a R1000 pin. Never hurts to get lucky. 1035 for a total.
SG, sorry to hear about your bow problem.

DRock, That's w/the 50pt handicap. Thanx for that since I dropped the ball pretty good early on Sun morn. Sat I shot a 500 even but the 2 large French press coffees Bowpredator made me Sun morn put the serious shakes to my sight pins, LOL. Ended up with a 485 for Sun for a 985 total. Thanx for a 12 on the apple deer and an arrow in the apple, counting 36 on a single target certainly helps.
I figured I missed the chance but Drenalinjunkie explained the handicap to me.
Drenalinjunkie - feel free to jump in here and explain the handicaps at this shoot. Or anyone else that is knowledgeable about it.

The R1000 pins go to freestyle shooters that shoot a scratch 1000 for both days. Hunter class gets a 50 pt handicap and trad gets a bigger handicap etc. That way we're all on a level playing field.
I might add that I just met Drenalinjunkie and his family this weekend and they are a nice bunch and I hope to camp with them again. Maybe he'll even let me shoot with him one of these days.
