Was up at Trillium Lake near Mt Hood two weeks ago, wanted to give night photography a try...then stuck around for sunrise. The bright lights are from snowcats grooming Palmer Glacier at 2am to get it ready for the snowboarders in the morning. I tried some longer exposures to bring in more stars, but the the lights blew out the mountain. I need to buy a ND filter just such an occasion.
