IBEP Traditional Class *, ** M/Th/F August 18th, 20th and 22nd from 6:00pm - 9:00pm Saturday August 23rd from 9:00am - 2:00pm Silver Arrow Bowmen, Mt Vernon, WA IBEP Field Day (online students ONLY)* Saturday, August 23rd from 8:30am – 2:00pm Silver Arrow Bowmen, Mt Vernon, WA
Cost
This course costs $15.00, must be paid in advance, and pre-registration is required.
Age Restrictions
There is no minimum age for this course, however students must be able to shoot a bow and demonstrate safe bow handling skills in class.
Curriculum
Bowhunter education courses are based on the International Bowhunter Education Foundation curriculum. Topics include equipment, anatomy, tracking, safety, regulations and other subjects of particular value to bowhunters. The course is designed to benefit both new and experienced bowhunters.
Please Note: Bowhunter education classes do not meet the Washington training requirement to purchase a hunting license for first-time hunters born after January 1, 1972.
Although bowhunter education training is not required in Washington State, many states do require it for all bowhunters. Washington’s bowhunter education program meets the requirements of all states. IBEP course graduates average a 20% higher success rate in the field.
