Title: Batch of Pickled Walleye
Post by: WCTaxidermy on July 08, 2014, 09:12:07 AM
The Walleye fishing has been pretty good this year, and Pickled Walleye is one of my favorite ways to prepare them for snacks on the boat or camping.  Here is a batch I just did up waiting for the dreadful 5 days so I can dig into them.  I also put in some garlic cloves, onion, and a dash of white pepper.

Try not to eat it so fast, which is hard to do for me. :chuckle:  It lasts up to 5-6 months in the refrigerator.  I usually do up a batch big enough to last about that long, then I just make some more.  It's really easy to make.

I'll get ya the recipe maverick.

Walleye fishing has been good for us as well. Would like to try your pickling recipe as well? Post it up or PM would be great!

Went out walleye fishing Sunday for the first time this year and caught a 3 pounder. Time to start filling the freezer! And apparently start making pickled walleye!

Although this looks and is probably amazing, I could never pickle any walleye. :chuckle:
