Don't you know they shoot better then us anyways...
This buck scored in the mid 130's. Three bucks in a row and 4th deer in a row. She started with a doe tag at 9 years old. Now shes 13 and chasing boys. Maybe she'll come back around when her boyfriend wants to hunt with her good old dad.
-
Great looking buck! I plan on taking my daughter(s) hunting as soon as they are old enough but it will be awhile, since the oldest is not quite 3 years old yet.
-
You must be proud Dad. Congrats to your Daughter!!
-
thats awesome! now put a bow in her hands! :)
-
A-men to all that was said.
-

Always have a great time with my daughter hunting, fishing, camping, or hiking. She is a regular outdoors women.
We are heading out for some turkey scouting this weekend, and she is excited.
O by the way, she's 16, has a steady boy friend and still loves to be in the woods.

That is AWESOME!! Keep her away from the boys though :)
-
My little girls love to HUNT... :)
-
My 11 year old daughter is taking hunters ed in a couple of weeks. She hopes to take her first buck next fall. I can hardly wait.
-
My daughter passed her field test today and received her certificate. She has been hunting for a few years with me but now will have her own license and is just jazzed :chuckle:
-
My little baby used to hunt with me alot. We'd scout together, go shooting, you name it. At 14 she decided she didn't like it. There's now a boy of interest. I met him the other day. Doesn't hunt, doesn't fish, doesn't play baseball, football, golf, nothing. I just wanted to cry. The kid has NEVER BEEN CAMPING!!!! Actually he's a really nice kid. Straight A type. I'd rather she date him then someone like me when I was that age. Maybe she'll come around.
-
debating on putting my 9 year old in hunter ed. I think you just proved she is old enough.

Sounds like she bagged herself a future Democrat.

FWIW, remember I didn't "put my daughter through" she wanted to on her own and has been asking for 2 years now. ;) Just saying be careful, there were a couple kids there that you could tell were only there because their parent wanted them there, and it was obvious. Again, not preaching, just dont want to see you make that mistake :twocents:

Nice buck! My little girl seems to be very interested in hunting. I am glad of that!

I'm hearing you. She has been begging since she was 7. I have another daughter thats 7 and wants to hunt too. I grew up in Michigan and you can't hunt till your 14 so I've been thinking the girls are too young but it sounds like we might miss out on some memories if I don't let them hunt till they are older. By that time they might be more interested in boys. :yike:

Could be a good reason very few women hunt in Michigan these days. I lived in a rural area and only two females out of a class of 145 have hunted.

--Ive been taking my daughter out with me since she was 7 months old. She is 3 and a half now and loves going with me! soon as she can read she will try for her hunter ed test! I was 10.

I'll try and dig up some pics... my oldest daughter was with me when i killed my first bull elk...she was 17 months old! Been on a couple antelope kills now too..
My youngest daughter is chomping at the bit and is pissed that she cant hunt till she is 12... When she was 5 I let her stalk a doe with her little bow. She launched an arrow that landed at the does front hoof from about 15 yards... it was hilarious...I have pics of that somewheres too! :0)
-
I have a three year old son who I'll take. I have a daughter due in October so she will be moms company while were out! :chuckle: That's OK though, my wife did ballet for almost twenty years so I'm sure my daughter will be a little ballerina too, not a hunter. So on the flip side, having a daughter will guarantee me, my son and my dad more guilt free hunting time 8)

Here is my daughter's 08 buck. When I asked her prior to the hunt what she was looking for antlerwise she said "I don't care as long as I can field dress it." I may be looking at college tuition for a future surgeon... yikes.
-
Great pic clippy.
-
Here's a couple of pics of my Kallie this past season. She really enjoys waterfowling w/Dad.
-
My oldest is 3 1/2 and she loves going fishing with me, she got a little bass on Curlew lake last night. We have been out scouting every day for the last two weeks and she comes with me. She doesn't understand why we are not shooting the deer when we are seeing them. She looks at you and almost crys saying "daddy they are so taste why are you not shooting them" :chuckle: She has actually been able to take out her little pink 22 and shoot it with me a couple times. It is mostly point it toward a large box and working on squeezing the trigger. This pic was of her with me on Deer Lake this year when there was still ice on the lake, she is a trooper. You will see pics later this year of her with me and animals on the ground, there is no way she will miss it.
-
my baby girl is turning one on the 18th, she has already been out in the back pack scouting some with me. I plan on taking her everywhere's

My daughters first deer 2 yrs. ago
-
I think I posted this pic somewhere on here last year, but I like it enough, I'll post it again.
My daughter taking a snack break during our deer hunting adventure last fall... we actually saw several deer and
had a small buck walk within bow range and never knew we were there. She's a pretty quiet four year old.
-
I don't know if the picture will show thru, but this is my daughter with her first deer, I drug her along for years with myself and her brothers, and she finally grabbed me and asked for a gun of her own. I've created a monster! But it's great, she's now one of my favorite hunting partners, and I'd rather see my kids successfull and enjoying this heritage than myself. Best thing I ever did was buy her that little Ruger.

my wife and I had our 20 week ultrasound last week and we are having a girl! I moped for a few days because I was really really really really really hoping for a boy. I was freaked out about having a boy chasing shop-a-holic paris hilton wannabee but reading all the posts on this site about everyone and their daughters it has really made me come around and I can honestly say I am pretty stoked. Her name is gonna be Addison Dawn. :IBCOOL:

Thanks! kinda bad timing on my part though. Nov. 20th due date. Late muzzleloader could be a no go this year. I have a feeling I won't miss it at all though!

When my wife was in labor with our first child, our son, I kept looking at the clock on the wall hoping he would be born before midnight. If he'd been born after midnight I'd be missing out on the archery deer season opener from then on and hosting birthday parties instead. Luckily he was born late on Aug. 31st! Don't tell anybody I was in the delivery room thinking about deer hunting... it's our little secret. :chuckle:

Trying to get my 11 yr old into it. She wants to bowhunt but is afraid of the loud gunshots. Being thet you have to shoot a gun for hunter safety it has kind of been a deterent for her. I might see if I can get the one year deferal for her just to get her out. I'm also working on the 8 yr old daughter to get her into it.
Both absolutely LOVE venison.
My 16 yr old son has killed 5 deer. His first at 10 on his first day of hunting ever. talk about spoiled :chuckle:
-
My daughter was born October 18th (opening weekend of rifle deer). Now, she gets to celebrate her birthday every year hunting deer w/ Dad. She'll be 2 this year :)

I was born on Oct 16th, opening day of deer season that year. About three in the morning my Dad was getting ready to go hunting with my grandpa and a couple uncles, but my Mom said "I think we better go to the hospital" He missed opening day and everybody else got deer! The next day he went to help them pack the rest out. Sorry Dad. :chuckle:

I can't wait! This is my 11 year old daughters year to "pull the trigger".... She has hunted with us for a few years, but this is the first she is licensed and ready to go. I can't wait! Grouse season here we come!

Nothing better than going hunting with your kids...awesome.
-
When our two girls ( oldest now 23, baby is 18) were juniors in high school we had foreign exchange students, Debora from Brazil, Sandra from Lebanon.
We took them to deer camp, goose hunting and taught them how to safety handle a gun and shoot, they both got the biggest kick out of it, both saw deer, elk, turkeys, geese, coyotes, good times!
this is me and Sandra from Lebanon with my youngest daughters first deer.
-
I luv all the post/pics, it's great to see all the future female hunter:)!! and the Mom's that allow it, lol.
I on the other hand have only boys but, if I had a girl, you could bet she'd be out there too ;)

Daddy's hunting partner.

Here is a pic of my daughter during late buck this year. She missed her first deer this year during the regular season, and was really itching to try again for the late hunt. No luck for her, but she is really looking forward to next season. Duck season is next.
