Title: Heading to Willapa hills!!
Post by: 1bowhunter1 on December 04, 2008, 01:29:25 PM: I am not coming out of the timber, unless I have meat on my back.....any ideas would be helpful. I have what it takes and I am going to put all my training and past Exp. To work and first and formost....heavy prayer!!

I dont know that it helps but I see elk pretty regularly along HW101 between the Lewis unit (duck hunting area) and the bridge on the Nassel (sp?). There right by the Lewis unit is some WDFW hunting areas and what apears to be a gated logging road going back up into the reprod. If I was going in blind, I'd go there, or maybe Long Island if your archery (I'm assuming). If you go by the office at the Rikkila (SP?) unit, its by the dump, they have maps of the hunting areas.
