So I liked the burger thread and it got me to thinking. Whats your favorite fish and chips. I have to go with the bow picker in Astoria. Albacore tuna it what they use and its the best in my book. It's the only thing they cook. Your choice is a full or half order. They only take cash.

Bow Picker, no question about it.
-
Snug Harbor Cafe in Discovery Bay! Best fish and chips I've had that I didn't catch myself. They have the best fries west of the Mississippi too!
-
One in westport is awesome, I cant remember the name its on the water on main drag had a big sign in yellow writing.
Rogue public house in Newport,OR was great also
-
Tides tavern in gig harbor is up there too.
-
:yeah:
We use to run the boat from Olympia up to the tides just for their fish and chips! Beau Legs in Lacey is also good. There use to be a really good fish place on the West Side of Oly behind Big 5 but it went out of business.

Used to be able to find great fish-n-chips everywhere you went down there. Last trip I tried three of my normal good spots and had bad fish at each one. Good thing they all had good oysters to make up for it!
I'll be watching this thread closely. I haven't had any real great fish and chips since moving back to Washington.

Another vote for the Tides

Conway Tavern has some pretty decent Fish and chip or oysters if you want to go that way...
-
I will second Beau Legs. (There frog legs are good too).
And I will add the restaurant at the Tumwater Golf course. I can't remember the name of the restaurant, but it is the only one there. The fish and chips are really good.

Conway Tavern is pretty good.
My favorite is from The Hungry Clam in Friday Harbor. The seasoned fries are awesome too.
-
Mine - battered halibut and truffle fries.

I really like their fried oysters!
-
Alright guys. This is serious now.
Pike Street Fish Fry. Hands down.
-
The lines at the Bowpicker in Astoria are always long, a testament to the food. I really like Wally's in Des Moines for their fresh halibut fish and chips and their fresh Lingcod fish and chips.

And believe it or not for some cod fish and chips the Rocket Alley in Arlington does a really good job. Crisp panko cooked right with crisp fries and a Mac and Jacks yummm!!

Bennett's , located in grayland, Westport, and ocean shores..

A Mac & Jack is a brewery just outside of Redmond. They produce a nice assortment of beers. The most common you would see around at the local establishments is an African amber. http://www.macandjacks.com/ (http://www.macandjacks.com/)

Tuna Fish and Chips at the "One Eyed Crab", Westport.
Large chunks of fresh tuna and a great view.

It may not be, I'm not sure, it has been two years ago since I have been. I know I always stop in when I have a chance but we didn't go last summer.

"The Barking Crab" in downtown Boston is a great place. You would never know from the outside though.
Just ask your Cabbie where it is and he will take your right to it.
-
Bill's Tavern in Cannon Beach. Gold Creek on 410 is good too, and closer to home.
-
The very best is when they're fresh over the rail, never been frozen on board. As far as cod anyway.

:yeah: I've only tried the ocean shores one, but it's pretty good. There's a good fish and chips stand down in South Bend right off the 101 I think it is. I'm a big fan of this thread, I'll have to go try a few of these new places out

J's or Jc at Lincoln city Hands down in my book for halibut.
