Title: Mountain House meals at Costco
Post by: Evoac05 on July 28, 2014, 04:45:03 PM: Just thought I would pass this along. Costco has boxes of Mountain House meals (13 pouches) for $60 ($4.62 each).

Meals are:

3) Breakfast Skillet
3) Beef Stroganoff
3) Rice and Chicken
3) Spaghetti with Meat Sauce
1) Apple Crisp

To say the least, I wish I would have bought a few extra cases. Thanks for the ordering direct suggestion Billy. I will try that

Post by: bmccalister on August 19, 2014, 08:52:49 PM: I came across some new meals at Walmart. They are manufactured by Wise Company and National Geographic. The Wise Company are 4 servings. The National Geographic are 2 servings and packaged just line the Mountain House meals. But both are cheaper than Mountain House.

They've added the 3 breakfasts and the dessert this year and charge a higher price. I wasn't too happy about it as I don't do a cooked anything at breakfast when backpacking and I never do dessert, however the breakfast skillet is delicious...had it while car camping before packing in to the Rubies. Had the Apple Crisp dessert during the trip home and it was good too.

The MH meals are salty but no other brand that I've tried is a delicious.
