Went hunting the last few days of late archery.. My buddy took a really nice older doe, and I was lucky enough to take a nice doe on the landowner tag I got from a rancher. My deer was a 42yrd shot, slightly quartering away.. hit her perfect, arrow got the liver, both lungs and the heart and also broke the opposite shoulder.. she only went 70 yrds but there was not a drop of blood.. all intenal.. we just cicrled where we saw her go and found her with little problems... My buddys deer, on the other hand was a diff story.. she was quartering to him and he made a great 40yrd shot, right in the center of the shoulder.. the deer ran off and we waited.... after 25 min we got on the trail, we found no blood for the first 45yrds, then I found a spot about the size of a dime, we marked the blood trail with tape for over 150yrds finding mostly pin drops and small amounts of blood, after well over 200yrds we lost blood after a pin drop and had to once again circle and search, we found her pilled up about 50 yrds from the last blood... we saw well over 200 deer, 100+ turkeys and had some good times with great freinds.. huntings done, now its time to fish!!!!

That arrow was in my quiver, my buddy shot my bow and needless to say missed the target and it skipped and whacked off a tree and broke the arrow... it fell out of my quiver at some point after I laid my bow down to take care of my buddys deer. I always carry my bow with me when im in the woods, my pack has a bow strap system on it, I lost an arrow in idaho going through some thick *censored* this year as well.
