Just wondering if any one has any road numbers or areas that they may want to share. I drew a cow permit for muzzleloader and really do not know much about the unit. I hunted it about 15 to 16 years ago around Taneum Creek and never seen an elk. I went over scouting and focused on the northwestern edge of the unit , never seen any elk but found some sign. I am going to try and scout at least two more trips but would love some helpful advice if anyone has knowledge of the area. Thanks a lot.

What you find now will change drastically come time for your hunt. Concentrate on Steep and Deep and you will do fine. The bulls will be bugling that time of the year so find a bull and you will find a cow. Pray, Pray, Pray for cooler weather. Two years ago my father in law had the tag and it was brutal hot that time of year and the hunting was really hard.

Oh Yeah....Good luck, can't wait to see pics of a fat cow on the ground.

If you can read a Topo map you won't need any help.

Go toward the back of the unit. You will tag out. Stay near i90, and you will hunt with half of washington

Thanks a lot. I am going to be scouting the back of the unit soon. Looks like most of the steep and deep is there anyway.

Also I was along the stampede/taneum border and saw good elk sign all over. I would check the west end of unit as well toward snocrummy.
